On 25th of March 2010 in Cape Town there was the ceremony of signing of the agreement concerning the establishing of the "Visegrad House", the common mission of Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia, which will function at the residence of a former Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Cape Town. The agreement was signed by the Ambassadors of the Visegrad Group in South Africa in presence of first deputy foreign minister of the Czech Republic Ms. Helena Bambasova and high rank officials from the Department of International Relations and Cooperation. The ceremony speeches of the honorary guests and ambassadors comprised the statements regarding long standing and fruitful co-operation within the Visegrad Group, very good relations between V4 countries and the Republic of South Africa and the importance of establishing of the V4 common mission to extending the political, consular, cultural, promotional activities. More than 100 invited guests participated in the ceremony and the reception including the representatives of South African authorities, media, diplomats and members of the associations of Polish, Czech, Slovak and Hungarian associations in Cape Town.
