The President of the Republic of Poland H.E. Mr. Lech Kaczyński, his spouse Mrs. Maria Kaczyńska and the Polish delegation including Deputy Speakers of Parliament, numerous Members of Parliament, Ministers, high level Officials, Officers, Clergy and Combatants lost their lives in a plane crash on the 10^th of April 2010 on their way to the celebration of the 70^th anniversary of the Katyń Massacre near Smoleńsk in Russia. All 96 people who were on the board of the presidential plane perished in this tragic accident.

A book of condolence will be opened at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, 14 Amos Street, Colbyn, Pretoria from Monday, 12^th of April until Friday, 16^th of April 2010 from 11.00 till 14.00.
